DAY 115 - God's Time, Man's Troubles

Today’s Reading: Acts 26

Please read Acts 26: 1 – 32 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf . (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Do you think that in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?” Acts 26:28

Jesus led me to think of an unusual situation. Have you tried to talk about Jesus with some non-believers before? How many sentences did you talk about Jesus before they stopped you? How about talking to dignitaries? Do you think you would have a chance to say as much as Paul did in Acts 26? Try to time yourself as to how long it takes you for you to read the whole chapter.

When King Agrippa spoke in Acts 26: 28, he was quite persuaded by Paul. You can imagine that, from a human perspective, waiting in the jail for a trial would bring many painful feelings and concerns. Having to wait for a long time can wear people out. But here Paul made use of God’s 'waiting time' to fulfill God’s purpose so that the Gospel was preached. Can you and I get hold of God’s 'waiting times' so that we also can testify to the Gospel?

Dear Lord Jesus,
Help me to get hold of each moment to bear witness to the Gospel, especially in the midst of troubles. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
