DAY 116 - When are you going to listen?

Today’s Reading: Acts 27

Please read Acts 27: 1 – 44 and listen to what the Lord Jesus Christ would like to tell you before reading my Spiritual Journal below. If you would like to learn a simple and good way of Daily Devotion method please read my “Count Down 5” from this blog. You may click this link directly for the method: Subject Shifting Devotion.pdf . (You may begin with a song to praise the Lord and complete you devotion by singing another praise song.)

After the men had gone a long time without food, Paul stood up before them and said: “Men, you should have taken my advice not to sail from Crete; then you would have spared yourselves this damage and loss.” Acts 27:21

The Lord reminds me of two things through reading Acts 27 today:
1. My willingness to listen to God’s servants so that I can spare myself from damage and loss.

2. It’s OK when people are not listening to me. Don’t get mad, angry or bitter, but say what the Lord wants me to say.

There are lots of time when we act like what the centurion did. Instead of listening to God’s servant Paul, we would rather listen to other voices. We even like to accuse other people that they are not listening, but the fact is that we are not listening. What’s the difference? The difference is the fruit. If you listen to the voice of Lord Jesus Christ, then you can even survive that kind of storm and shipwreck like Paul. What’s your fruits?

I wish there are more people who listen to me to participate in our 200 days/24 hours prayer
campaign, to use this blog to have a same step daily devotion with me, to fast for at least one main meal a week, to prayer walk... Well, that's just a dream! I wish that people can listen!

Dear Lord Jesus,
Open my soul that I can listen to you and have the gift to discern your voice and other voices. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
